Led by Pastor to Families Jordan Litts, our youth ministry is grounded in both prayer and the Word of God and works in close partnership with parents who are strongly encouraged to participate in this ministry. The ministry encourages our young people to repent of their sin and believe upon the Person and finished atoning work of Jesus Christ, followed by their holy obedience to the Lord and His Word as evidence of true conversion.
To accomplish these goals of genuine conversion and equipping for faithfulness and obedience to the Lord, there is a strong emphasis on text-driven, expositional teaching through the Word of God with biblical truth applied to daily life as a disciple of Jesus. Therefore, Pastor Litts is currently teaching through Paul’s letter to the Ephesians on Wednesday evenings and Haggai on Sunday mornings in a teaching/discussion format followed by gender specific small group discussion led by parents who serve in the ministry.
In addition to the teaching venues on Sundays and Wednesdays, youth are encouraged to join their parents for the Friday Night Fellowship that happens almost every Friday as a way of deepening the relational connections in our church family. Moreover, those youth who have vocal, instrumental, or technical talent serve on our Music and A/V Teams on Sunday mornings, which require a Thursday evening rehearsal. Youth also serve in AWANA and they help to provide childcare during service times alongside adults. Students in youth ministry are also encouraged to join in the corporate fellowship gatherings of the Men’s and Women’s Ministries respectively. In addition, youth, along with their families, take part in our annual service mission trip to Elim, Poland. In sum, the youth of FBC are integrated into the life and ministry of our church family. Come join us!
